Welcome to Golf with Jimmy Tee
With the recent increase in the popularity of golf, there are more golfer than ever. I suspect that the vast majority are occasional or weekend golfers, playing a maximum of once a week and taking time off from the game when weather is unpleasant.
I have been a weekend golfer for about six years since I took up the game in earnest after years of playing a handful of times each year, often in charity best ball tournaments.
Now that I have a regular weekend foursome, I have been inspired to improve my game, and this blog is to share with you what I have learned and how I'm doing in the dogged quest for a lower golf handicap.

Whatever It Takes
I'm going to take the blog in whatever direction it needs to go in order to get me to my golf goals. This means technique, equipment, practice, the mental game, and physical conditioning.
I will tell you what is working (and not working) for me and my closest golf friends and associates.
Golf and Life
Golf is a simple game but it provides endless challenges for people at all levels of the game. It can teach you life lessons if you listen to it and to yourself while you are on the golf course. For instance, I know that I must keep relearning the same golf lessons when I lose strokes by trying heroic shots from trouble. Perhaps that is just the lesson of hope triumphing over experience.
